I’m the founder of No Knees Yoga and a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I’m also an active individual who understands how knee pain can slow you down and affect your ability to do what you love.

My yoga journey began many moons ago when I first discovered the calming power of yoga during lunchtime classes with coworkers. Those midday stretches sparked a lifelong love for yoga, and it’s been a steady thread woven in and out of my life—guiding me through different phases, including the joys and challenges of pregnancy.

Over the years, knee pain from cycling and running caused me to take a break from running, but yoga has become my tool for staying active without further strain on my knees. It helps me strengthen the muscles around my knees, prevent injury, and move with confidence. Yoga is how I stay active—whether it’s cycling, walking, or getting through daily tasks—without worrying about knee pain holding me back.

Can i practice yoga with you even if my knees aren't sore?

Absolutely! We focus on strengthening the muscle groups that support the knee including quads, hamstrings, abductors, adductors, hips, glutes, feet, and core. We work on flexibility, mobility, and balance. This is good for most everyone.

do i need any special equipment?

Most of the time we use only a yoga mat. If your floor is carpeted, you might choose to skip using a mat altogether. Any mat or towel that doesn't slip will do. We often use yoga blocks (or stack of books) and a strap (towel or robe belt). Rarely I'll use a pillow or towel.

what if I can't make the live classes?

No problem. The replays will be emailed to you after class (within a few days) and are available to you to watch again and again.

do you chant in your practices?

No. Chanting isn't my jam, but if it is yours, go ahead as long as you are muted. :-)

what style of yoga is it?

I lead a balanced vinyasa flow with dynamic transitions and steady holds to build stamina, joint health, and inner calm.

Is this Chair yoga?

Not chair yoga, but sequences are always designed with knees in mind, no knees on the mat. Ever.

What if I'm a beginner?

If you are brand new to yoga, please check out my classes for beginners that walk you through the common poses and the breathwork techniques we use. My classes are designed for beginners through intermediate yogis and use poses that are applicable to a wide range of bodies. Advanced yogis are welcome to modify poses, if you need more of a challenge.
